She added that while the technical research is progressing well, the ultimate implementation of renewable energy projects requires cooperation from both the regional government and private investors to ensure widespread adoption.

He also highlighted the challenges facing local farmers, particularly access to financing and modern equipment, noting that collaboration with international partners will be key to overcoming these barriers.
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Professor Dilan Ahmed, head of the Neurology Department at Sulaymaniyah Medical University, discussed ongoing research into neurodegenerative diseases. “Our team is conducting clinical trials on therapies that could slow the progression of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s,” Ahmed said.
She emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and preventive measures while acknowledging that the broader success of such research depends on both government support and public awareness campaigns. “Science can provide the tools, but policy and community engagement are essential for effective treatment,” she concluded.
